If the engine oil is frozen, what we can do? Can Block Heater works?

I think the engine oil in my car is frozen. I try to boost it with another car and it 's still not working.

我觉得block heater是管打火的，跟机油没关系。
# b. U: _% E7 T; P  _% L我的车子前天早上打着火后，机油灯一直亮着。
热车几分钟后就ok了

there are a few kinds of BH that help cars start from extreme cold weather,
basically ,  BH keep the car warm by heating up the oil pan-which keeps the engine oil from frozen, or by heating up the coolant, and keep the engine block warm.

$ \/ A- S8 U! M( R2 f! ?$ `If you do not have BH on ur car, by using synthetic oil you can also prevent oil frozen from happening.
3 F8 n& F) H' U9 _' M4 qA good synthetic oil, 5w20 or 5w 30 , or 3w 20 has a pure point of -30 to -40 degrees.

Tow your car to somewhere warm and try to start after a while in warm place, or wait till the weather becomes warmer.

do you think using a hair dryer may help to warm up a car a little bit?
