ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our

+ R. O) @8 y" R1 Q  {" X. zstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness

5 ]/ j3 L& {$ \2 ?6 w! ^Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
9 m$ Y3 w! D5 \# Vobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
9 O8 b6 V6 V% v& ~related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
  X* g0 J+ q& ]required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
$ E0 P$ k0 R$ D; Z+ R6 yover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
; W. P4 w/ s/ ais a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
1 b) v4 j8 h7 }the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
