ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
4 C; ?7 ]$ |+ M! J0 u7 ~3 jrecombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
4 A" m" _! L4 u# {) S  Lstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

, E. L2 \& h; W& FQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
& R2 Z8 _/ `- t' i3 jrelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
3 M) S2 d# J1 v/ hfrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
9 T: r; U. o* G. T9 Prequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
0 N0 |' S- h+ b8 Rcloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
- {' S5 p* ?& r  w' uover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
' v$ p- e, A# vthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
1 D8 d. {7 K3 U4 T; l+ laccurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
