strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will, y3 N. G# v/ t8 |+ ^
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
: D0 F. P- O7 j. ?. P! x" N3 Krelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification, Y( d. y' x( x6 B y5 B% G$ V( S: W
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is, z- j9 s& h5 @. Z0 x
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA. Z# G2 F+ T0 I* Y7 t! E6 l+ z( ^
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
: l$ ^) W7 E+ w# |3 Qover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
2 s9 t/ R$ }5 ]+ q* d% z% ?is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
, g n2 X3 A+ F8 othe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
" G7 \, e/ `/ yfunding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
1 X d2 y" s; c' Isalary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on9 r5 i2 m+ I# R$ W
