ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
7 |7 `: g8 T5 {5 y" i- H$ @recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
6 m  c# \- Q/ P; ptechnology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
* h! V4 b# \% D0 O, U  {8 D+ rto apply for government funding with us.

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
: D0 F. P- O7 j. ?. P! x" N3 Krelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
: l$ ^) W7 E+ w# |3 Qover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
2 s9 t/ R$ }5 ]+ q* d% z% ?is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
, g  n2 X3 A+ F8 othe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
2 V: H7 o( K  ?) O  ]- m) E! s# Y" maccurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external

1 X  d2 y" s; c' Isalary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
