烤蛋糕

INGREDIENTS:% e& Z$ n1 |) K7 |5 r) O
•        1/2 cup butter
& L$ R% a! ?, C& t: S•        1 cup sugar : t/ @: k% A7 X2 C( K9 T0 N
•        1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract( if you like the flavor)
5 y7 {9 b' F3 |, i, M& x: X1 n" C•        1 1/2 cups sifted  flour ( if you don’t like the trouble, use all-purpose flour)
* X# s# ^8 q  L3 Y$ ^# D•        1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder - ?/ C" R1 R9 Y3 L, |
•        4 eggs, well beaten
* _8 `" r# j3 d! lPREPARATION:2 K4 ^3 _( n/ v# N) A: j6 s& j
Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition.
2 i, [: U6 p& H: B8 d) UTurn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. 6 Q2 W' e3 _7 g& X5 I
Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.

I normally strictly follow the amount for each ingredient the recipe calls for, except SUGAR( I prefer to cut it to ¾ or 2/3 of the recipe. It is too sweet for some Chinese. But if you like the sweetness of the Cake Mix you got from super market, you can follow the recipe.8 e7 L: j0 v& U1 m: O

For beating, you can buy a simple Hand Mixer for about $10. It can not only be used for making cakes but also bread, or mashed potatoes(土豆泥)ect.

检查蛋糕是否熟透的办法

牙签,插入蛋糕较厚处,取出,若没粘着什么sticky flour, 就好了。

你若喜欢烤面食的话,一定要有一套量器的。所有recipes 都是用cup, table spoon, tea spoon 做基本单位的。用量不一样,效果绝对不同。
