• is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals

• develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures

• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• provide opportunities for staff development and growth

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders) U: e- g- X8 i2 a" U+ U
• set program priorities and directions

/ W+ a1 F* U, L% Z# f• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• maintenance of appropriate reporting

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others& U& m4 J; w K- m3 K* ^

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
$ \! p1 y: P) \1 ?9 G• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
9 }6 N4 A: y2 k& k4 m: U! Y• communicate the value of the organization to the public
! U3 n0 g; W% g3 ]; y/ {4 Z7 E• identify community needs and trends. Y6 P6 }5 V n/ O) ` j
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
* R8 ~8 i% V' u( @- r- H# M• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups" x( L! ]3 F6 t
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

- University degree in a related field; . T& V8 C, P2 P$ W/ |
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
D" h7 z, |4 C5 ?, j( ~- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; 6 o5 U# U8 V$ Q( G6 @
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 8 h% U* R' W1 l$ v
' H3 K- D) l5 \3 D& D; ^Salary" X0 d8 ?% K, L) a
- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
