Senior Agency/Program Manager

Board

• develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures

• provide leadership to staff and volunteers

• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

External Relations: V A) X: M/ {% A9 z
• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
' x! X! Y0 K5 T$ Q• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
) s Z& U: N+ \• communicate the value of the organization to the public& B1 F3 J) f( E
• identify community needs and trends1 L& K5 M9 l- T- A( p x/ h* K
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups* Q6 k% F' o- ]) } r; g6 V9 m
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
, N% @ h5 t M7 i' V( t* y# V- g• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.$ V: H3 F% K f- {" M* L* p
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff/ ^' m' v3 f. F3 e

Qualifications
u1 T/ P3 C4 V0 s& r' x- University degree in a related field; & i+ E& d. G8 u+ F0 q: W
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
9 [- u# `0 l. H; p4 w- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; 5 B( k* R; M, R( m* e4 w* u- n: G
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
