• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff, e. F2 E* u# k6 i' y

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders& s8 F) x" e. _

• identify community and user needs and trends
; L* y" h+ b8 o• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities3 O. E1 X/ @+ A- i, ~2 q. Y
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders

• identify community needs and trends
, q$ ~; d% s/ W6 D• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
$ P3 l; g' a! W/ y• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups5 y5 ?1 v; o: w. v# A6 \
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

" d. L1 y0 Z5 ~" y0 D3 K- University degree in a related field; 8 K- Y0 u- S* f" ^
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
# s" i) q* H) z- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; x) h. O9 V' \
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
