• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• meet with staff on regular basis

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services

• set program priorities and directions

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups9 t. ~$ [* A: i& j
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
: p% Z4 @' |. V/ q& }. z7 @7 Y# ?• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems. `. Z3 h Z& S+ A
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff* z. P7 \8 P: F/ f% f# b

Qualifications
5 }3 P/ G& h7 D6 L# u; @5 A( |- University degree in a related field; 5 X4 E. a) O) q$ a, m
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
1 ~# }# N% R7 G2 X. F1 e; g9 ~- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; 5 @7 _1 E/ `( ]% o' Z& e9 A
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
- a' E2 k; v1 E1 G# s2 Z$ X2 {5 H) S% M* f# P+ l' |, G/ K
Salary- K- d$ b j; k# g; ]7 F+ s4 H, ^
- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits # A9 `; G! z1 u0 b- W* \! S3 h
