Staff

Programs/Services

& k+ _" {& n+ j, t' z9 L6 x. C' m• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders) s* ?9 W3 f2 _9 \( m4 @
• set program priorities and directions

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
8 x" o' E# s3 N, b0 ]• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
& Q* P8 D" T+ C• communicate the value of the organization to the public
% }) m) N6 a. ^( G* e• identify community needs and trends+ ^8 o/ {/ }) t
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
% Y) {. u) n) p% o3 z" `• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups; }% _( M$ @# u( k
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.9 B N) B% R3 g7 f' h! D8 p
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

' C6 {2 H/ i5 G+ M- c lQualifications
. Z5 F7 |: a- R- University degree in a related field;
4 S" U9 z& T) ]- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
8 W" s' ~7 U* U( c3 M: C7 Y- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
8 ~7 [3 w z' u+ g; o& |- x- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

Salary
