• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators

• meet with staff on regular basis

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
0 n, W& A; [+ ?# v! ]* G• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders* `: q, s: e" |* \& \6 s! [5 p0 \
• set program priorities and directions - N! |% t) Z2 ~3 n- v4 V
• identify community and user needs and trends1 ]( d& k6 x# O( R' v3 j4 f
• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• maintenance of appropriate reporting

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

5 k6 u, y% O, @) k; \( r- V; e6 S• identify community needs and trends, M1 ~; ]2 {: S7 C4 o
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
7 @& `' j6 x. ]% o- \9 a+ Z& {• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
' |+ S* H2 R+ D7 a9 t• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

3 F E* U5 ~& C0 |8 C( JQualifications
8 Z; r7 `3 I1 n9 d5 ]- g- University degree in a related field; 3 \& c' z4 V9 o9 e5 Z) _
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;$ a9 P3 Y7 B- k& l; G- Z
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; ; m; V, k8 t6 a2 y$ }: S
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
