( N6 ?+ U) i: Q& ~After I came to Edmonton, I celebrated Canada Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Halloween and Remembrance Day. All of them are interesting for me, but the most interesting holiday is Halloween.
( y7 T4 v. z% d5 K- P2 H PMy teacher told me I must prepared candies, and many children would come to my home and ask for them. So, I bought many candies form Zellers and Safeway. When I came home with the candies, my wife told me that there were not enough, so I went to Safeway again and bought more candies.' ~" ?. H' b! k5 s, [
My child was shy and didn’t speak mach English, so I taught her how to shout “Trick or Treat”. She was perfect at shouting “Trick or Treat” after two days of training.
; H4 U7 m: h" r" M# i! GOctober 31st was Halloween. I got up very early that day. My wife cooked chicken which I was going to bring to class for a potluck. My child was very happy because she had already waited for this day for a long time.
& a0 `0 M$ z7 ~8 mIn the afternoon, we had a potluck in the class. Yuong Sook, a Korean girl, made some sushi which looked very beautiful. Chun Yuan, a Chinese girl, cooked some bouilli which tasted very delicious. Of course my wife cooked the best food because they were clear off.
, H# F8 Q$ v& `, d9 VAfter lunch, we had a party in the student center. Many students put make up on their faces and wore some strange clothing. They were singing and dancing there. What a happy day!2 r4 _# ^0 d$ s5 a5 ~- X v
When we arrived home, the sky became dark. My child said, “Dad, may I go out and ask for candies?”

My child went out with a bag. My wife and I stayed at home to wait for the children. To my surprise, only three children came to my home, and I was left with many candies.
; A z( Y7 K G. ^% Q/ Y, SOne hour later, my child came back with a full bag. “Dad,” She said, “My bag is full. I have many candies now. What an interesting day!”
