Job Summary:
/ W4 c, S' Z) m/ a7 T: r+ n' ZThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.% `, \" ?* e0 h+ n, l$ F

Job Responsibilities:

; g( |' ~& N+ BMust be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
7 n( x/ b- t5 n" e/ w) lInspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials$ b9 ?- j1 j$ a: I) p( c& P
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material
( x S; X n ~- j+ d* ^Must be able to work safely at all times/ t5 D1 j& c( L" G
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently
5 P, x" j; N+ JPerforms routine housekeeping.
; s4 U: A6 ?& jObserves and reports any safety issues1 f5 d1 v$ q( ?8 L" ]
Other duties may be assigned

Understand and be able to grade all non-ferrous material properly

Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting
! R3 X% o# e5 B" e& [6 e" D. d/ LKnowledge of non-ferrous processing
' a* y! R* p) e6 k/ l7 HHigh school diploma (Or GED)
4 a% N4 b" `3 Q% Y& M XWell-articulated and assertive; A8 ^4 M# i. |, p, ^5 s
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization
