% M, s( N6 H, ]; [4 j• Transport passengers to and from destinations on prescribed scheduled routes.
) S+ Y1 k( c! i& D/ a• Collect proper fare, issue transfers.
t; ]1 C$ {. q/ k• Respond to customer queries concerning transit information.
$ i1 A T0 V+ D$ G• Operate a Transit diesel bus and/or trolley coach, on a day, night or split shift under varying weather

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
; t1 @# o' L1 l* \; h% S• Grade eleven (11) or an equivalent educational level is required. Formal training in driving or public relations will be considered an asset.
& T! K! @' Y/ f7 a1 I• Proven ability to deal directly with the public, with well-developed customer service skills; the ability 5 `& ]: x5 J, V1 @6 B6 v0 Z/ ?! N
to be diplomatic and courteous in dealing with the public, from the first passenger to the last passenger

, Z6 _9 A5 v( I$ M• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (operate bus controls, re-set trolley poles, provide passengers with assistance i.e. strollers, wheelchairs etc.).
: I, Z$ P& {' ~ F" k! g• Applicant must possess a valid class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's license (non-probationary and non-graduated) and must have held a valid operator's license for (3) consecutive years.- G' O0 J, \7 B/ @: L0 x
• Selected applicants must pass the Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's class 2 written test, at their own expense, prior to training.* j% E2 R6 n0 t8 M9 N
• Applicant must provide a current driver's abstract (obtained within 14 days of the video test date)
0 W1 c( n5 C/ d# fshowing no suspensions and no more than 3 demerits recorded over the previous 2 year period. y+ ?" S% z2 x1 _0 A8 t
• Ability to pass a written English comprehension test, a public relations video-test, a driving skill 6 @3 l$ n- p2 y
video-test, a Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test, a pre-employment City medical examination and a Police Security clearance (at their own expense, prior to training).

• Internal ETS applicants must have completed all mandatory in-house training.
