followings rare operatic performance.  The organizer has offered 2 free

Association (Children Div.) is putting together an Opera performance at

theatre, U of Alberta, Jul. 21, Sat. at 1-4 pm.  The casts are led by 2
1 m$ q3 K1 k0 |0 q2 X' [- w
instructors - Lau Wai Ming and Fong Suet Ying, both are Champions of
the
- m7 z, q+ T5 r3 E5 n, hCantonse Opera Contest in Hong Kong and was awarded outstanding
/ l2 q3 q2 m. [4 N; e6 }: V' UAchievements
in Arts Education in the teacher category by the Hong Kong Arts
6 y- v: A; E, |: M3 R0 ~Development
Council.  Children cast members are ranging from 6 - 15 years old.  The

9 M& B+ N3 L6 d' k) T8 O& I" X6 @) uperformance will be done in English with Chinese operatic music; plus a
few
songs in well-known Cantonese Opera... The performance was done to

% H5 ?: B3 a6 p& z9 ]5 w! V% mcrowds in various Hong Kong venues and received rave review from the
# N: B  X4 ]' D' Q. RHong Kong
