JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to and under the general supervision of the + `8 P% K6 l6 A; n
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the 9 V6 j; G& x2 ]6 O p
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service, " {7 f7 F! X# W. S4 X B
cleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:$ D0 `& e( Z3 c) k
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and 2 g' }. Y* A, ?% f& O
beverage items.- i, O& h; z7 ~: T& E! X, Z W! i& K
0 E! i% b$ ?( F8 n2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the & P+ C! T- L* `
bar and debit floats.0 U1 Q5 v1 E" Q

3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of 6 J2 r) R7 a$ m" Y# m5 O
each shift, and upon closing.9 T, {* w) `! V6 l+ j" i: U

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular
6 v/ L" x0 c8 a3 P4 @0 a$ battention to areas used by customers including bar counters and 2 P+ ]4 {" }* w, o; W
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.- g6 M' F7 x. p* g$ m" }' z# c
0 g7 L' T# q& \) t0 m! C5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in 8 p X$ P* W/ W) p) s+ h, j7 y
storage areas. Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol 0 q6 m7 \2 D1 |+ V% l
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.3 m1 i. A4 K( o9 O% [3 A* @$ s

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close
+ w+ s$ }1 }# Y$ y& ymonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a 8 Y+ ] Z4 X8 K) B# @9 H C" l
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in 3 L, Y8 ^1 R$ a2 o( A9 F/ M1 I
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a

1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.' V: `2 [$ g2 h

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.: v% W0 f* {- A* ?6 [0 ]) E
