0 Z, S5 V  p; e4 Q- p1 \JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
+ q. I1 N2 {3 Z2 p4 HOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
! U  f+ c# r8 w  x; F/ [procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
cleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
8 v+ k# i6 Q8 F" @' y: Pbeverage items.

* c$ C& c7 h' z2 B2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
bar and debit floats.

3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
3 g& ?+ U' V# a" i) A( k: [each shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
$ y' g  c' E, Q2 r( Uattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
! B) h" _8 C8 Y8 Y0 g: R% ^# I6 w, kstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

4 Y8 K6 c& B  [" k6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
% F7 |1 m  W  m. G& l( x. Tmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
1 _, o1 Q! d, p$ y) V To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

; \- r5 |" h5 Y% @6 [9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

5 _+ n0 e0 I% `! C8 s( v2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
4 {( X' ]. W! j- e+ q% qoperation.

' q, h2 j+ s5 O6 V3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
accordance with Students' Union policy.

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

  u5 o( z% d8 q) Z5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
- K' p: H2 e$ w- TUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
attitude.

Wage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
