! I( Y% V7 v2 n4 y" T; Z22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday  - O; ^0 G. [5 p; v0 }6 P! B
through Friday

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
5 g+ f( s+ S! G0 z2 gOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
0 h# I, [$ g* Y# Pprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
& Y) i, _, h) V. [cleanliness and order in the bar.
. u- b# r' }" }: Y) N3 f+ }( |, _; E- D% Y- }: O
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
/ o1 i- R" c5 ^; z! x+ ^* x1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
7 ]  E1 m; P, \* ]5 h% b/ Vbeverage items.# B" _$ P7 V0 l0 y/ f) E

4 N2 z0 i+ J5 z+ Y; x2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
- t' N: \% c/ P7 obar and debit floats.
. M8 {8 ~, a6 F/ V" Q3 {9 U' n" V- z/ f: r" L
3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  ) \! A$ _: d" u2 i. b0 _" j
each shift, and upon closing.! B+ m& l3 d  S% n+ G2 v
4 d+ E2 z8 Z; w3 L7 o
4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  , K* Y( ?, D; X
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  $ c: ?. _7 q4 O
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

/ x. M' u% `# f5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
" c) o# s6 g8 zstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  ! k8 }1 y. X1 d5 D' s) @
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.
% t* D$ @! h. ?) J: ?8 W6 ^7 l# l( V$ h8 L& ~1 s/ b: Y; T
6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  " L2 t! a. `& d  c" u' f% ^) p
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
$ i( k4 I8 U$ v& P( b2 {% u" s) m7 ohigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
$ Y2 G4 _7 l* D$ W& F% {) raccordance with Students' Union policies.6 B# y+ L' t6 @& L) ?/ ]  h

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  - M+ F* V& r/ n5 {
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
+ |# p  o# J  F- K7 } To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  ) y; ], Q9 ]. t5 W, b" S
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

" @4 L' G5 Y* ?% y9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  ; |( H" w5 p6 p

QUALIFICATIONS:
& |) I0 ]& E1 F) b  e% F8 v( O1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
$ {4 l* h0 R' K0 o! y! ^" \8 M$ F' U
2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  , D# r0 h7 I; z6 p/ n
operation.
, B0 v, ~9 g+ a+ p  w% z8 r' F6 b, v4 O( ~& S& q0 T9 s
3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  # `; W2 O) J% I
accordance with Students' Union policy.9 [  _1 O; u) ~! C

* Y- ^9 J. V* g# V4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
: ^8 D. U" ?- R, c2 ]5 n% sUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic
