22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
' u. l9 c# w3 M0 ?2 q/ YOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  0 E& S# v/ d' D: u5 M
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  6 ]! k8 D1 d: z/ p
cleanliness and order in the bar.

: [' b$ n" {0 d) qDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
. h1 D7 A( ?- u* V# F0 L1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
: E4 K. {* J; |  A  `+ d  h! V, {beverage items.% H' S9 I) ^4 c5 `! ~9 y+ z

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  % U+ }% W. L2 t6 C" t4 ]- w& _' P' ^
bar and debit floats.. g+ v2 m- {) w  M- ]* i' @9 C
% [2 V- c+ |8 ]3 l) X+ f
3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
9 v: l6 A6 O* a0 t+ reach shift, and upon closing.# J; ^( O  }. t

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
$ }/ M5 F% i& g+ ?attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  4 `0 S/ O5 A9 D0 A
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.( B2 M1 g! ]" R
8 d% N; L' i" b) U: g1 G. v, M2 C
5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  ! C( p$ a  \" W" f6 T2 ]' X
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  # ^3 U% R$ Z9 f. X/ m, A
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

' o, i/ f  ^5 L* j) s& \6 r. H6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
2 `2 @; j! y# R! `/ w0 \5 O9 S8 [) lmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a    G, L6 H7 ?  }: d; ]4 M$ D+ \
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
9 K. j" R7 X8 ]. ], eaccordance with Students' Union policies.

. R5 D5 H% F+ n( r  m  r3 G* y7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
6 P4 {6 O; ~  ]+ d: F3 b) qhigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.2 Z" j. w$ d& p, l# A; O
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  & ~2 z; R9 @, O2 ], t2 f; P6 e
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.3 [  k! C6 x* E) S0 l

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
6 A/ ^4 Z5 ?. s9 t  DSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.) b: E" j5 T* W0 w

& d: I  t' o7 }  }4 A- J$ k  k% LQUALIFICATIONS:
; H7 O/ _8 I% k' n2 ~; e1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  * U  u8 z0 G  v* L& Y/ g+ K
operation.6 G4 X( ^+ Q  k9 s- f

3 C7 p* l0 m: C' U- J0 t( O$ }3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  9 \; n: N" b% O) R( L; i$ x
accordance with Students' Union policy.

6 D5 A7 C3 \- d+ Q- v. q& D4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

1 q! L8 ]+ F2 l5 N& V2 @5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
3 e1 a9 _! m. j$ C$ eUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
0 e& u7 W- U( E4 x) ]  X& Aattitude.
