BARTENDER - Room At The Top (RATT) - includes some serving

22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday  
7 a# v: k5 c: J% lthrough Friday

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
" ^' X3 M* \1 T/ Z8 e8 Y9 c) b+ ?procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
9 k5 n, x5 N) c- \! Vcleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
: F& F8 g& m9 ?) R& r1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
beverage items.

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
bar and debit floats.
% L8 b. _8 k* ?- ?# M1 ^
3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
8 z. m5 ?. Q: a/ S: meach shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
% c8 w, D. [2 Q) Hattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

0 ]: i4 s# ]6 Q0 n7 }3 @: G' p' C1 k5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
, p, P8 v* ~5 P. u' L+ C7 X" \products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
) F' Q" S( u, u: B+ L( \0 E7 Cmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
+ Y& }: g# g% x/ s/ `  [4 Waccordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
) N# h+ Q- G0 {# Qhigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
+ i" D; D; t3 z8 m- Y5 d To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
5 W% E  O1 L& g% P: X" |% gAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

: q4 I' `. X$ I' _9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

) h) n+ D8 P# z+ [7 C2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
! W1 _: [; w3 y1 N( saccordance with Students' Union policy.

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
# W4 Q+ I( n; R1 y% s  K6 |: Rattitude.
