through Friday

' u$ f( U4 B/ ]5 I1 LJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
- P. B" s) a" o* f' t9 y/ zOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
* d5 E! W, Z* m: {# Z2 K4 bcleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
7 v5 d, G1 V. V9 J: u1 H1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
beverage items.

, G' b  e& Z- v5 ?) D$ d3 u2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
bar and debit floats.
" O+ ~$ Z1 k% f& A  S2 o$ ?
3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
) F$ x" X2 u7 I4 o% w) f( E* veach shift, and upon closing.

' I1 Y$ ]; s; x. Y) K$ u, u4 n3 w4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

4 A- t) p0 G" C' O! [3 s" x. l5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
6 l3 g9 x& [3 W3 q$ ~" Bproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

- N& a' q4 j# [& j" U; L6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

$ \* u7 v8 p! g' P2 ~7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
+ n: k* ]* S, ?/ D  U To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
. A* U$ V% S0 qAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
' E1 P; s! m9 L, g4 z/ T# BSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

$ E  ?0 w7 O: F4 J! u( pQUALIFICATIONS:
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
accordance with Students' Union policy.
) N1 h  E/ }( f7 \) E
4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

% W$ k( z3 f" d: {3 n1 R5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
attitude.

  X. S# c7 {8 d2 bWage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
