/ }6 \9 k/ F, x; L" {9 Z% sJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
! ?/ n0 s# {9 O1 ~. p6 M0 ~carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
3 [0 {& d3 S& hcustomer service and room cleanliness.

% y4 I8 ^8 z4 e# VDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
' U7 C* ^) n+ ]7 s" h0 @* a3 O# P# v1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

' D8 R5 G/ i* E2 M2 l& q& t3 Q2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
* e( m3 I# w6 i9 C  T; xhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

8 W2 T1 r8 u: S* B, I: f: A( _2 H3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
4 H! a, y3 F; Ototal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
8 t- S  }# i4 {+ n* _
4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
# o! j# v1 j0 m  Xand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
# y% [% m+ b9 m6 Lintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
* |6 q' K, T5 v/ C, ]! ~3 m3 }- F6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

( ~3 H' u* u: o7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
# v! {- |4 n5 b7 ~2 GManager.

# N6 B  b! Z( o/ M: ^* w
6 }& q( f5 r7 B; x6 W" HQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
' A3 n+ D9 J7 @5 R2 [, D  P
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
: l( k$ o9 l. a7 Q! P4 v1 ]# D5 @& Aoperation.
8 ^$ ?& Q; p: z* O* C4 f& _
( v. O3 ?9 {& Y3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
9 \% o; P$ z1 H* f% s1 D6 Cpolicy.

9 U, w; Q7 r2 Q7 F! r4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
& L# t: e- Y# Mcard transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
; ~" r8 Q2 c9 a9 Gprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
