Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
/ S/ {! v# B3 y! n* ~: X3 D+ Rpay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

1 W& e* U% Z8 ?" sHours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
+ P+ X, z- }% x! W8 Qthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
8 Z0 J( W; k& S# [8 l. C7 q3 z& nCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
* f" e+ K3 W, D7 R! e! ptheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
4 N& l; N  c5 Q' z: hvenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
9 D& A7 I0 _, I! O! k) Y  Zexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
' N) a/ N- v% b2 z! O1 `excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
: c' s$ F3 _2 ysuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
0 E/ R  W! L% Kpresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

# U+ ~/ I  N5 PQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
& K8 }' |8 `# p$ E4 Dfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
7 G7 `/ b9 O$ r% U% c+ ]; ba variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
6 b+ i- ?" P+ ?1 S5 bof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
7 Y1 Q3 i$ M0 X8 B# R4 kskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
