" L7 G3 q. X; ySalary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
# Q; j6 q6 n/ T4 S! |" E% A5 }/ R$ apay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

' ^1 f  c9 G2 K0 V& OHours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
" e, ?$ Y4 L4 T! Z) _& Fvenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
' r/ s5 n8 W) Y+ m9 Petc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
  E& {# N% [  ^7 w. yparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
' c% ]* c5 c% o( {; B0 D1 h: |their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
" i* z3 w3 u2 t5 I- @assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
0 a4 e, T" b9 W( `% c3 _excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
# j' [0 e% y; c- k. c7 kpresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

0 l' V* K# ^0 U; G" hQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
, E/ p. k$ X4 B; v8 wfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
2 W7 U, @3 D: h4 ndemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
  X$ b. A7 t# z" Mskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
: r: [+ V7 t! I6 ^: L2 j1 xexperience coordinating group activities an asset.
