( c; L3 V$ M, O; u8 ^; YSalary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

: h2 c" m% Q) _' G9 E0 yDuties include: working closely with graduate students and research
( X5 P* A- R9 e3 ^3 ttechnicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
. L% d7 c$ a5 x: I, i! Q; Binclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
compounds by chromatography.

Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
  j% e$ O4 y8 _7 z0 mChemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
; W3 Q% i; G( l" y% T# ^1 _) f8 r1 bseparations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
$ c4 G" b: ~' u3 a* Z; zof a team essential.
This position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
and chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
/ u9 ?0 H$ ^2 @  bhope to work in these areas.
