The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Job Responsibilities:* Y* l- L. [. u0 P' D" a

Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials9 P$ j7 Z/ I H
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials4 W; h* s! X1 H' W" P$ Z1 N. Y
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material
: W; O$ ]% t. t: e3 j) n4 V4 ~/ nMust be able to work safely at all times
9 o' |$ _' b' ^ CBe able to effectively perform tasks independently+ e: L* S8 D o
Performs routine housekeeping.
) j% I$ o+ W/ [8 e+ B+ t2 S7 N/ HObserves and reports any safety issues1 m9 b& V( [- B) I0 K; @

Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting( T, S/ h8 k: n; M8 \5 P2 S) ]
Knowledge of non-ferrous processing
5 V5 y" }1 t; m& r; NHigh school diploma (Or GED) H( L5 `) U+ L7 a
Well-articulated and assertive1 X8 j" z: z. S3 k) c I
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization

Ability to write simple correspondence
