The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.! ~& S, T" f' N/ U, i# D+ E1 p R

Job Responsibilities:: A5 g( c) { M; J' L ^" m
: u* G E- a6 a/ PMust be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
4 @# k9 g6 q- G& x5 f! pInspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
! T6 B& }; [* z vLoads and unloads non-ferrous material5 |1 @: Z4 e C' x+ A$ R
Must be able to work safely at all times& I" ~: j8 y* B% e* D
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently
/ [- ^1 G }5 K9 c' h- b- SPerforms routine housekeeping.
! ~+ D# X" W3 D* r/ f& FObserves and reports any safety issues; _3 U% ~7 D* Q3 \; V! ^8 H5 [6 N

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset
/ V0 `# u5 V2 f5 P0 F+ M( HExperience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting+ l: G$ D$ T$ C
Knowledge of non-ferrous processing
/ c4 N' `/ l7 u# N2 v" {High school diploma (Or GED)
. `( h2 \8 H& L' R) \Well-articulated and assertive
2 g/ J( w5 p+ {. b1 z% oAbility to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization
