& ^; X% j' ~' g3 oStatistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
% k7 n, r6 s5 y( R* ]weekend hours. R5 F/ u# ?/ L7 J( x
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
* R( B: L5 u" c T4 _. vlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the" A1 r: q8 A) b! c/ y
centre.
4 g8 Z9 p9 W. n9 o% `* [6 [These responsibilities include:7 `/ x6 ?' n# U6 d3 o! p0 h8 ~
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.% I5 R) b5 _4 r
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.: k1 ?" a: ^& e" X& z/ q7 g
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
# ^$ V6 d" T. U7 T' jrenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
8 `2 f" e6 d( A2 ]; rfacilities’ maintenance, etc. ( C5 O2 w# H2 z& l9 Y0 ~
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic
6 k. ?9 e7 \4 ^! W( Bclients’ files etc.

$ y2 D: L" p. g; z+ E8 D-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, & B u" |) x' J# F! F
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
" ?% d2 E3 u! O0 x! ]8 ^6 gof education, training and /or experience.
% @/ S/ q1 r% E, d9 J! OKnowledge/Technical competencies:
% G, S; Y2 Z' ]) S) W4 x-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
6 S" \9 m8 k3 l6 e-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word% Y% z2 v* c& b, }2 a. w8 X6 Z
and Excel.
( ^3 Z2 F B2 Y' f1 e-Experience using and updating an information database.

-Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
