weekend hours.) d$ B! n! i3 T; n
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
& B& A( u- G8 o4 B' _! [. Ylab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
4 m0 C: E, G3 ]! O1 X5 mcentre.0 @" B9 O; n0 q; b" R
These responsibilities include:
& Y9 n0 z4 D; a. z-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.6 |. ~5 @: s3 x7 A+ \% p. N1 @2 n8 Q
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP., ?' [" }0 m$ d+ T% y
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and1 s) ]" `/ j2 H$ K5 v
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
# A" m8 N2 l! v* Afacilities’ maintenance, etc.
C) @! u Q3 f5 l-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic
# J5 x8 L2 D6 p! t9 Qclients’ files etc.

Education:
; v7 R1 w c6 o6 D-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
4 q# M6 J. Z8 Ueducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
$ x2 l" p/ L9 c- ^2 O4 W3 [0 rof education, training and /or experience.
" w' d) Q" b& QKnowledge/Technical competencies:3 \* y# o$ k+ C' r( m2 m
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system./ Q) e; C4 T' A) u2 }" `
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word, \6 W5 }, |) ^9 d7 h' l: \- [

-Experience using and updating an information database.

Assets:

-Ability to operate a computerized system to research information.
