Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and8 ]3 N- @3 p/ u, ^6 @$ o( v7 R+ Q
weekend hours.
}2 q, A* H! z% U" m L. d8 nYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer" Q5 ^ |' U! ?. [8 {4 T* Y
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the. @! `5 F" j% Z9 ?$ y) i0 m
centre.& @9 R$ y0 ^8 Q2 x/ K
These responsibilities include:( f! R! `0 ]$ j9 f1 Q& S0 j
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
& C1 ]; {5 Y% g2 A-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
" s% C V/ v2 h-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
0 m( n$ C( o) A; vrenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
/ ?* R1 r( ?- v; b) |6 zfacilities’ maintenance, etc.
2 D4 X+ T a2 U% a' J a' I% q( r-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic . S; i* g) Z3 p: q {* D% K
clients’ files etc.

Education:
' _; O: ~ a7 G-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, 7 q. E. S- k5 l2 D9 A& c0 p# h
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination & G: ^( m9 J, K4 a. P9 G7 [+ N
of education, training and /or experience.
: ~: d& W- m; Q* zKnowledge/Technical competencies:
9 J3 q _5 C6 _# t; S" j-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
' G4 l# `2 w7 n. M) D" J+ d-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word; \0 @* M4 {5 F8 {
and Excel.
7 _! n( B4 F. H. o. w# O% O-Experience using and updating an information database.
