Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

' q8 t1 V; H  V5 j, V· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
; Q! z) L0 J& x  s) `% W, G/ A
· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
" ]6 x, Y% C+ q* T, a' G# R
· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
4 j/ Z$ O: @3 k$ ]( N3 j
1 \$ H* Y( r' Y/ s& w# p8 a· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

3 l* d- _+ u2 i' A5 e$ L· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
8 @  _9 O- @' R
2 a; A/ V& w- i; z# L& X9 ?· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license
2 R3 h( Y: O# u8 q2 w
- E( q# v$ s; L. R. T) q& o· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

3 [4 s" a: X! r: I, J· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

* T5 {2 p; E' D· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
