Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

9 h, j) ^+ w. N2 g; ~- }· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
+ Z; i7 |+ K1 ]: H- H& ?2 B+ G
/ O' i+ @7 }/ O# k( C  I· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
. V# c6 F& z( J2 i5 T' T
, K8 ]( |. s; N. K0 n· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
; P" M) Y! D' }6 z( u) s* Q; j4 @% T
5 Y$ C, ?( O' F3 ^' N5 M* U4 m· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner

· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license
; w9 N# f' c" R6 x+ A
" s& \% u+ Y1 n% a, I. M( t$ c1 w· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

& Z; I; d' V  s& D9 g· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

9 Y- i! m$ w, v9 {6 j! w· Excellent organizational and time management skills

5 s4 j& z* n0 c: M! I  N2 `' }# |· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

4 h6 p( S: \- o· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
