Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

( q# Z1 h; C7 f) K: p· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
* D" @% G- B% m- g2 i
8 S5 ]  t  F! r· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

7 k# P* z$ ]& M( z* o6 u/ Y3 v· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
) s) m, |. l) ], C, V7 e1 _/ M
· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner

) `# V8 A: M6 y, N$ d0 [  a) }9 v
· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license

4 S" i& M: M; [· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

4 {; G& ^2 D: ^1 d' O8 a/ p: ]  [+ R" R· Load securement certification
: O7 }" g$ i* X
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

& G% d: U, E. v8 K' C3 V7 z· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

6 N7 s6 V- C! `9 t· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
