As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:$ U V2 ]' t0 A! E! d
# n: l# J& U7 `. _- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. + f: c4 T9 _* o4 ~; M
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. 4 \ w4 \* a- @1 ?
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. ' d2 t5 V/ Q3 B, o
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
5 L7 x& S$ `0 L- |( @- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
# \9 m2 l {0 t& z! _, s6 V7 H- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).
8 Q( m% }2 {6 [% Q0 G& K; G- Managing shift expense budgets.

Experience and Education Requirements

4 `+ w. F$ _; ?( E* {- Previous supervisory experience
5 _* j! b+ v. W; t6 R- Strong leadership skills 7 g3 w. ^7 l2 ?& n1 }
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
# f% t) |( |4 z7 J8 N) b( Q' F2 D- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills ]$ U4 ]- k, O+ ]2 h3 [) T, ~
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations 9 W+ i F6 i2 p! \- y; E1 X0 k
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
