Job Description :  Description of Accountability

6 p& a! f' L0 T$ N% rAs a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:

- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
! X4 k" h- P/ [% S1 t, p' G- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
$ b  }9 C/ @: O; c. d4 G! @9 h- S5 d- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
/ @% a% g; \; b2 O2 o. m8 V& e- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
# k# B% L4 B$ H+ o- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).
- Managing shift expense budgets.

- Previous supervisory experience
- Strong leadership skills
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
9 x( G% d* u$ h5 _5 [- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
