The Ministry of Children's Services provides financial assistance to eligible lower-income families using:

Licensed day care centres
Licensed group family child care

Licensed out-of-school care centres
+ q* S" }% y2 S6 \0 eLicensed pre-schools and
Approved early childhood development programs
Maximum subsidy rates vary by program type and the age of child attending child care.

* n2 K) J7 K9 I5 S9 L  aYou or your spouse/partner, or the child receiving care are Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada and live in Alberta.
You or your spouse/partner are an Alberta resident.
7 @) i. S8 p/ f* r9 t$ t5 iYour children are 12 years of age or younger and are not yet attending Grade 7.
You and your spouse/partner are currently working, attending school, looking for work or have special needs

低收入有一个数目。今天早晨听 cbc ，两个女士都有不错的工作，也可以领。我觉着我们对政府定义的低收入还把握不准。

查了一下： net income of less than $42,255 per year
! X: A3 k3 A# \; M- T$ r% A% u
! b6 z) `- g/ e1 Ha person earns wages of $1,000, and $300 in deductions are taken from his paycheck. His gross income is $1,000 and his net income is $700.

1 J& O3 i5 t" }8 q" j根据这个定义，应该不少人可以属于低收入。
