POSITION HOURS: 8AM – 5PM

LOCATION: EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA
DURATION: CONTRACT OR PERMANENT
SALARY RANGE: Compensation will be commensurate with experience, but overall compensation will be results-based and goal-oriented.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION:
• Provide tier 2-3 support for network issues for technologies such as but not limited to:
& Q) U" j/ `* R9 y) b   o Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP, 2003
   o Microsoft Exchange 5.5, 2000, 2003
   o Microsoft SQL Server 7, 2000
   o Microsoft SMS 2, 2003
/ ?" y& R, R; e5 B, p   o Microsoft Operations Manager
   o VMWare Virtual Server solutions
   o Linux based operating systems
6 L* q7 u1 S. Z' x) j" h; n9 j   o Sun Solaris operating systems
. {& M  y: I* n; B  i   o Advanced level and hands-on knowledge of Cisco IOS, VoIP, and security knowledge and configuration experience
• Provide network solutions and recommendations to customer inquires regarding Anti-Virus, Email & Collaboration, Network Security, Migration Strategy, Disaster Recovery…etc.
• Proper and detailed documentation of all support and project related calls
• Administration, architecting, and technical support experience on the Microsoft Windows
platform, Microsoft Exchange 5.5 – 2003 platform, Citrix Metaframe platform, Microsoft
& o5 a5 n  R+ H" c$ W, j7 ~) q5 pSMS platform, Microsoft IIS platform, Microsoft DNS and Microsoft Active Directory…etc.
• Advanced Cisco routing and switching and/or firewall configurations

- _0 m" N; f. s( Z" f+ rSKILL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
. ?" _" O' M7 b• 5 – 8 years hands-on IT experience
9 F1 v; f% V. `" B7 K  N* P• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent organization skills with detail AND accuracy

3 A: D- N1 L/ F% Z( \• Certification should include some or all of the following:
1 M1 }/ E( ^2 N3 L   o Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
   o Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
   o Cisco Certified Internetworking Professional (CCIP)
. Z0 i5 ?$ a/ r7 b   o Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP)
   o Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (Windows 2000 or Windows 2003)
   o Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA)
2 @1 f# h+ T0 z8 Q   o Any other professional certification designations are a bonus
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple medium sized projects
• Ability to understand and deliver high quality customer service
- @. J& O4 R' f# E* \• Advanced TCP/IP and internetworking protocol knowledge
• Experience in IT operations and an actively contributing team member in project based work
• Advanced technical and hands-on expertise in Microsoft Windows-based migration projects in 800-1500 seat size of multiple domain, sites, and active directory.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Group Policy, DFS, Windows Security, Virtual Server, SharePoint Server, Exchange Server 5.5, 2000, and 2005

• A valid Alberta driver’s license is mandatory
