: A% ^% s% ^& P4 J5 f　　A hundred leagues locked in ice,

　　A thousand leagues of whirling snow.

　　Both sides of the Great Wall

　　One single white immensity.
% r* x$ R% J5 I3 o
% C; Y* W+ y3 s2 W7 m( Q/ y　　The Yellow River"s swift current
% {2 O" g1 |" m* L) Q" v# k6 u
　　Is stilled from end to end.

　　The mountains dance like silver snakes
! a) H2 z' N4 F/ p8 _9 C$ X7 G
　　And the highlands* charge like wax-hued elephants,

　　Vying with heaven in stature.

　　On a fine day, the land,

　　Clad in white, adorned in red,

- ]3 q5 Y' O/ b6 A) C- |5 |　　Grows more enchanting.

　　Has made countless heroes bow in homage.

0 W$ C8 R9 H$ y6 C: H　　But alas! Chin Shih-huang and Han Wu-ti

5 a* f7 D& g7 X. G　　Were lacking in literary grace,

- n; O; u& T: s4 G　　And Tang Tai-tsung and Sung Tai-tsu
! Y! }' t8 ?$ t$ O$ Z9 g
　　Had little poetry in their souls;
1 l% @& u& m+ n- A" O　　And Genghis Khan,

3 [9 p) B$ G% x$ ?4 J7 X　　Proud Son of Heaven for a day,

7 X& \, o7 s9 T9 @" z9 p: U　　Knew only shooting eagles, bow outstretched

' Y* g* O8 x5 I& W6 V　　For truly great men

　　大河上下 顿失滔滔 山舞银蛇 原驰蜡象 欲与天公试比高
