An ATV crash in western Manitoba has left a woman dead and a man, who was knocked into spillway, missing and presumed drowned. CBC's Nelly Gonzalez reports.

According to RCMP, a 58-year-old woman tried to drive an ATV down an embankment by the Rivers Reservoir spillway, just before 8:30 p.m. on July 12.% t p; s# }- ~5 I
: d. L C/ _+ R$ {She lost control of the machine and hit a 39-year-old man, who was fishing. The woman, from the town of Rivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.3 v: y# e" k* s: y6 P2 i2 f% K

The man, from Brandon, was knocked into the fast-moving water and disappeared. Rescue efforts failed to locate the man, who is presumed drowned.! e' E8 Y! ]" Z0 [
. W# [2 A; a7 U, P! J* z! YSearch efforts and the investigation into the incident are both ongoing, RCMP said.

. ?4 s+ r. |- ^* |A Brandon man is presumed drowned after he was knocked into the fast-moving waters of the Rivers Reservoir Spillway on July 12 by a woman on an ATV. ( g( y4 {) t0 b0 @( j9 TRivers is located about 30 kilometres northwest of Brandon. It is near the Little Saskatchewan River, which enters the Rivers Reservoir, also known as Lake Wahtopanah.
