买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

+ n4 k+ m3 l& f! ^; E4 f2 N& zYou can claim an amount of $5,000 for the purchase of a qualifying home made in 2013, if both of the following apply:- w; `: N& b$ h* m& f4 M. A( U& t
•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and( T7 [' X/ C% A2 P5 H5 X# U- E( L
•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer).9 k& u0 ^2 H- I4 _* z9 y
So the non-refundable tax credit is up to $750.

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。

The claim can be split between you and your spouse or common-law partner, but the combined total cannot exceed $5,000.

When more than one individual is entitled to the amount (for example, when two people jointly buy a home), the total of all amounts claimed cannot exceed $5,000.
