attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
+ y! I4 i5 W0 ~. Lof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
" B8 K* o: s) k: \5 llook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth & A8 g q; a4 v$ ~
of directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
: G; Q" h; c9 Y& `3 g1 }* ^- wactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
$ Z1 }2 N, Q' Ua variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
1 Z4 Q9 H- {+ _6 @) ^. s; Levening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
! M( t7 x3 u( Y% _Hawrelak Park.

' i9 L& o6 A( c% I S; sYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
/ \" G2 f, L) NSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
9 K, W1 K% C8 E6 ?and then continue to meet with for the entire year.9 x: M. n. Y3 l$ [
3 } z4 [0 y- Z. p3 O) lBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
3 z" m# o7 z3 y u/ W, A1 v2 ]to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from 2 T2 V6 h( I( O$ m
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
% x. l% y9 X+ q3 t" w5 a& P: P ^0 wONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
0 ~2 M! _$ R7 |4 T3 byour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece 8 o% B W) m' T4 d3 X
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
: `0 Q# Q$ x) L7 x- SComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
2 c& b$ [1 W! y9 u- lInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
2 U5 o' Y) P" F2 W+ N' ebring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the 0 n& |: K9 p0 @, ?& @( u2 Q. J
two days of Orientation).! c: y5 _6 z: l) F! E
