Orientation 2006: The Action Starts Here! Your registration in the University of
% U' R. Z/ D5 q- Z& kAlberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would

(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
" I b$ U3 }, e7 T# y' [8 K5 v7 xattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of
2 b4 L/ Q3 |! ]7 B1 Ninformation that will make your transition to the University community

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically # X# w5 r2 P4 `$ z2 P
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth * u& [& l) z7 A3 e' F4 u
of directional information.

X& |" l6 X. T: u4 y4 h qBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening % A5 Y0 Y1 Z, ?* N( D- A
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
8 u* `- U6 c& V' fa variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
. J' V8 V- D" N* fevening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in 3 Q: A- r v. o* O, a: t
Hawrelak Park.

& F7 B6 K$ \/ u& sYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on 9 a% R+ D9 Y( ?
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
% B6 ~% j: d( g5 M$ sand then continue to meet with for the entire year.$ P9 N( F2 v2 L0 n* i5 z
. z# m% \( U! @' ^3 m7 lBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
: K& J( e2 V0 V Jto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from " J: o& j5 M# y
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
! B9 C! g6 s( uONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process 0 {- B4 y! v5 g; y1 W9 C
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece ' A- c; z6 t( Z6 O# H
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus / v9 ^& f3 O8 `6 k4 z L G
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
& M4 r7 E `" oInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and ! S# a4 H* @- p3 \- G& K/ n) Q
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
/ t5 a w- }( v# Q* |( ^/ n# j4 ltwo days of Orientation).$ K0 T' W8 l2 X3 v; h' D( B3 X: d
