•This position is accountable for the effective development, delivery and evaluation of Integrated Service Program funded by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services
9 ]0 t3 K) C6 U9 }•Specific accountabilities include analyzing and defining community needs, assisting in the development of new initiatives and overall strategy, participation in community and/or industry advocacy and social action processes, project management, recruitment, leadership and performance appraisal of a team of up to 10 para-professionals and/or volunteers, program priority setting, maintenance of appropriate reporting, development and management of program budget, preparation of report submissions to funding or regulatory bodies
$ C+ n6 R1 Q, p! {$ C•Required skills include: understanding of client needs and appropriate interventions, program implementation and evaluation, creativity and ongoing program development, leadership and co-ordination of service provision and administrative functions, participation in budget development and monitoring, staff recruiting, supervision, development and evaluation, client case management, program data collection, data and narrative reporting
' k9 K; o* d# L ^9 W/ a•Responsibilities include relationship management with CIC, AHS and other organizations; community development planning and activities; participation in and leadership of agency-wide projects.5 z' U2 v: x2 L- \+ Y
•Coordination with other program coordinators in LINC, ECALA, family, youth and senior programs is essential6 A( v1 e1 B1 U) H; W; H
( m* L/ P' X% z3 XQualifications:# [; G# X4 K! c! w7 V
•University degree or diploma in a related field or extensive related experience ;
7 P$ Y) e" J" ~! I•Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit/voluntary organization;
# V, M% r5 }2 _% N& c9 j5 E•Knowledge of settlement/cross-cultural processes, human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
: b- M6 I9 I7 U# L+ k•Two or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization or demonstrated potential
, B q, T! b; ]* y•Fluent in English, knowledge of another language is preferred but not mandatory.
