! W- H+ h$ }7 X2 bLocation: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

2 I# u( N1 j& c0 x1 x) A  q  yResponsibilities and Tasks

-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
  o9 P- e6 J. |$ w+ [0 A$ M8 T-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
-        Select type and size of pipe required
: `* r7 T+ \) I7 T1 s: e+ Q-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
5 T! y! O; Q- l2 V8 U1 ~-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
/ q. `, j' W5 }4 G( `1 N/ \7 K-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
0 D& f8 q" z; X) \7 T5 e( }, ]-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
7 C! D9 W4 f$ I$ x/ j! V-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

-        Completion of secondary school
8 a# M8 b( G2 [-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
