Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

Responsibilities and Tasks
6 R! P$ `# P1 @% F6 [/ H- X
6 z) F$ V, @' ~( G3 ~-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
$ h0 \& p8 x# h3 n. `5 {8 V-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
-        Select type and size of pipe required
1 a- y1 E2 a+ _6 C/ {: e/ [-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
/ t$ A/ C; K; u-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
* J) O5 C; \# `$ I/ X-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
' C3 I, s. V8 N- P5 n( \, f) U% _-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
* e; C* U0 g0 b% _  v4 d* ~-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
5 d) V8 Z' f1 c+ v7 b1 G, r! l-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications

# {; G1 J+ F& S-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
! S) O$ H6 y, u, R% e# L( s2 D: h4 U! ?-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
. m6 {  S0 {8 I- K# F# G-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
& r, o, [+ B% ^: o3 k-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
