+ v/ o1 G/ x" F' xPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
g* U) h- h/ u8 u• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person: E. Q9 v/ c5 d
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
* V( s& W) v4 B: t• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
% j4 @2 }) V& L• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
& \, n2 R2 D, P. q. _; H5 ]• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
6 K5 S% R# b6 S5 m3 d• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker. q! }9 R$ C9 q1 a5 C" |
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
3 ?) K) U3 R! d5 D• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events% l) q( `) i; ?
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
. ]1 J% A; Y1 x2 s5 F• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters" }2 C1 t6 t# U6 m
• Maintain front counter service files

1 T) W& y3 N/ o; E• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person7 g" v& \, g& D5 b0 y. ^
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset0 F5 r# R ?% h
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
2 n2 W4 t0 |6 L- J1 b* E• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients0 M' f* W& d6 @
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:
" i- e& x5 @: Q. u& h# J* y• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience & Z+ W+ y, }! [6 L
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
+ N7 @1 ^ r( O1 t6 e• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism& w+ h/ K0 ?# ^3 }; Y" u8 e/ `
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision8 P% |$ @% O2 P7 a. t% S
