Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker
( @* s) H8 a) j+ I8 UHours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

9 X3 f* o# T; A. Z0 b• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person# J; |0 G# O2 ?) p
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
0 V0 }+ k( J* @, `• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
3 p; n/ M8 H' r4 P• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
* Z" q9 v: }) a) ^' d4 {6 ^• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents/ ?" V4 q( l7 x& @' o
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
; ~9 g, p6 c4 I% r) N• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
$ v* g5 [. t5 u1 `/ j0 }" k9 h" P• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events/ y: g9 |5 o' q' w8 a3 g8 H+ A
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
; c! {6 X8 W6 s# N• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
' u: Z2 b d" w3 J• Maintain front counter service files
( g9 J' t( @* {5 m" q• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
: ^- v1 D) V' g# [( \2 D3 F7 ^7 s• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person: ~8 X1 s6 ?0 s( E6 D( N
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
4 R3 w( }+ A+ M7 g, j• Good English writing and oral communication skills
% t2 Q$ F; }% q3 S/ p3 t' K* z• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
# F6 E2 P( {4 @3 g" c5 F• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
3 ^: o/ D' N* m4 z7 b• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:
$ @$ E o4 W0 q7 z, A• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience * x3 E# Z; N5 }# W/ J1 m
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
2 ?& `& f( ~ i9 L. p• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism; H8 R+ j7 B3 \+ a# y' J
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
