Career Edge Organization is currently looking for help to fill a great internship opportunity for a Letter of Credit Officer with Scotiabank located in Calgary.

$ H. m8 G, @$ v! i) L
' D) B  L! G7 J/ v: q•        Several years of practical experience in Trade Finance activities

•        Thorough and complete knowledge of the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits, the Bills of Exchange Act, INCOTERMS, world shipping practices, and Canadian / Foreign customs

•        Strong knowledge of statutory requirements, International Law and Customs relating to Letters of Credit and Bank policy as high level transactional support to customers is required

& {- O# S0 k0 Z' L/ C•        Capable of applying knowledge in accurately assessing / mitigating transaction and compliance risks and making judgemental decisions on problem transactions

•        Possess an ability to evaluate high risk, complex transactions and make recommendations to the Senior Assistant Manager to minimize and or mitigate potential losses to the Bank and its customers.
