Key Responsibilities( {" D, V/ k* `# t, J
- submit information for community news
0 y/ {( w1 T" M- provide volunteers to update membership database
& U- N, R% A3 v+ k9 S& H- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
& O8 H! p! v' H' ~- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties1 H# n% }/ ]7 o/ Z# m
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties! b+ W5 g- q) Z* D
- provide volunteers for various programs ) [3 _6 b4 Y% L9 K6 A* Z+ x
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
% _- E* ?- g" g, U0 ~7 m- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
! k% Z) U: a, l3 u) W& X3 F- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities0 `" n1 |' X/ v
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services" Z$ P% @1 g. I/ f$ Z! m
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports' I2 C9 `9 Y7 E/ {4 y2 B; S
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed2 Q9 A+ {- Z+ D7 l3 y( I8 N
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
( G# b! E8 H( u; h- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
5 ~) R0 F% s7 T5 N- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
- @- a. d5 V9 m" @9 c- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
. Q' f, y' I( e, `1 G) ?- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
4 m6 `- X9 L# @! D- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers

6 v4 R6 G' z# W/ P- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
$ y' [3 b5 y; m6 |( b# r4 V1 Z, e0 |8 U- good oral and written Chinese and English skills/ V- b) H" ]- X' M
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
8 [$ Y$ c2 t ~# _) C- leadership skills
7 E/ J* T4 n/ D. I% X) Z& w- management and supervision skills
