- submit information for community news
5 M7 ^! f8 y* H- provide volunteers to update membership database
# u5 w- A% {9 r5 i; u- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
) s) C; \+ L" k) ]4 X$ _) W- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
4 [/ k) W' \* i+ |: o- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
3 a+ l6 O' R7 @( ^7 _% Q M- provide volunteers for various programs
k/ g- X' {! Y1 i- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
c& s, D! ]' y- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation" V5 T6 b/ L: K4 `
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
+ [+ X4 K- O: q5 o1 J- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services; x9 V0 a# ^5 t6 \ }. ]
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports+ m2 n3 i% G/ r, D0 E( J4 Y
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed5 F: r7 R g9 d) d! x1 v" R+ ^
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed/ ]9 k) U4 G1 D; n+ v
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)% U! S. L# a' A/ S
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events * t Z8 O# Z" S$ e, |; b* R- C6 V
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual , T' S6 X+ u8 T
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
' g8 w& g% Q- y) U7 j- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers

; n# k. [+ M' x$ P: w0 d [- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education* @* O8 k8 u& Z: `6 R
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
0 Y3 k# ?1 Y; c9 a5 T/ B+ _- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
0 t) |. h9 G* `+ w- leadership skills, J0 s" N( N9 u/ U1 s: q- n
- management and supervision skills9 o8 n" x! |$ U$ t" |
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills2 w' o$ f- \4 u; l6 Z+ Y
