- provide volunteers to update membership database- u% }+ N0 N) @1 a7 g' p
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers! F. P3 N; g% c& d X
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
0 l& M' G- ~, x' H- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties

- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual

- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
U' _1 H2 q4 D5 T. t1 A- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
( R7 G. z, _! W7 n- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
! @$ r8 w9 G, F. {1 n- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
& y& C$ x2 j I: N5 x- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
]& Q: q; r o$ a- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
0 X, l w+ [ t; l. y- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers 0 p; J9 M0 M! K3 k+ P% s; k
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers ' @+ |" q M' E0 b+ ~/ r
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

6 V! d; @# T; j8 ]8 q7 n- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education; u, q+ M, B8 I" k$ U9 N
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
% ?1 x) H& u( @2 l) h" i% b- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
! o3 O+ X) v+ |" M3 j; l; l/ P5 y& ?# E- leadership skills
/ E% l* U- T" ~# F$ P5 N% H- management and supervision skills @8 Y5 t! e% O/ j; y4 u
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
