Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. , X) K t7 Z i/ X- c d1 u

: h! b0 [9 G7 g% N2 [2 n& V" u8 ?$ p2 @• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person3 F8 f* X5 Z, m6 Y
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST2 z$ T9 L# M2 Q$ ]* i
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately8 K$ q b9 n& f; _6 [; F6 j
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
4 J& e# i0 f: H- M• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents! Z! n9 k8 r6 I2 i- W: K
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
7 U" \6 k0 u! b/ u• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events8 m3 Q8 {* g! R; W' j
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters) d) L% `( I$ m

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person/ S. |3 }* c& j
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
# y3 W" ^5 m- V4 ^: \• Good English writing and oral communication skills
3 l6 H6 |6 g" {" @, S# q. L# |/ |• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients

• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately ! @8 H3 _4 A. q- i" J. Z) y& X
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds7 a C; F' b9 K, w( O2 ^
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment0 x3 a. z; F5 d# o
• Knowledge of immigrant services; H$ R9 l0 T) H U9 N

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ( F0 X( w- R. p8 s, w8 K
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment& d; L. q' W& E. J
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
