Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary:
, a% w! T% w! P% Q/ {7 AWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

7 o0 z: \5 M9 ~) @) |) z• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person6 y) R8 h+ J- `* a5 B
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
3 c& m) M% c2 ^7 y! Y• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately% o+ _( h* a2 C! ]$ ]
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter4 V+ F' q. ~, D q8 Y& ^
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
5 G7 \: ]6 Z" o( S" i• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
# _: O* B; ]' o+ U1 A, u) O• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
/ p# c1 K+ \7 f+ Y" _• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

B P% a: v- w; S& ^4 y• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters8 X z, v" D/ g# E Z+ K+ H
• Maintain front counter service files: A" K2 l1 @: `* o" U
• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person+ F& A9 \1 E& r) X$ \
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset' ^' J, F8 s7 R9 R+ ]+ A/ r
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
6 u+ o3 K/ p* q) p• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients R$ A5 y: g) L
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services

Qualifications:
9 _3 u6 z6 B& ]8 ~1 I• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 0 h; z" S( X9 G5 @& u( I- ~# D; z7 w v# H
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
- V" y4 B% _' L/ P2 v$ L+ [2 A• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
# `, I, j- K" i5 L$ b- h• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
