Description
) p# z% g' z* P) w" C' v/ nTracer Industries Canada Limited (owned by Tyco Thermal Controls) is now accepting applications for a Senior Human Resources Generalist.* i: V" M( _0 S4 d$ F0 s
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, your duties will include, but not be limited to:
: A( o( Z: f( s$ W1 d% H. ]# E% Z4 J•        Encourage and enhance a positive and professional working environment.1 Q( }+ o2 [' w- r% z8 }1 q
•        Foster positive employee relations through effective interpersonal communication with all team members.* }9 c8 B$ a" s7 d, E  V9 }
•        Support the introduction, training and participation in Human Resources related programs, including performance management, ethical conduct and career development.
) h) w0 a+ B1 J" }& @  H•        Promote management best practices and provide guidance on employment standards and employee relations issues.
7 y  b0 ]( K( }•        Research, develop and implement recognition and retention strategies and initiatives. 6 Y0 o- R% c) u. o: m' e9 p
•        Participate in full cycle recruitment process to successfully attract candidates.
7 c/ d  ]# B$ j4 u5 p  ?2 U•        Prepare required Human Resources reporting (including ad hoc reports, turnover statistics, organizational charts, employee updates, weekly recruiting reporting) as required.' g- \0 l5 v5 y' A/ `
•        Distribute pertinent information to the Payroll Department and Tracer's benefit providers.
2 k8 A+ l! Q8 _* G5 C' f$ K•        Maintain personnel information for union and non-union employees in Tracer's Human Resources Information System (SAP).
; V# }* P& ^4 R8 M* b5 C3 q7 J& O* ^•        Coordinate the company group RRSP plan and employee stock purchase program.
" C' K1 i+ M; d8 c•        Support the development and implementation of company forms, policies and procedures.
& h8 H# [7 w: K& s/ h) ~2 S, B4 I•        Attend and participate in departmental meetings./ l; r5 a! n5 c, g/ \
•        Assist with the formulation and implementation of internal training programs.
9 P' p( {0 f& p3 j& q+ e1 h•        Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
4 [0 ^# h' u! T•        Additional special projects as required by the Human Resources Manager.

Qualifications
, z) b+ q( {' z  L) i& {  ?4 NRequirements:. n% O  ^6 I3 g$ G
•        Applicants must possess a high level of integrity and professionalism, as well as strong organizational and written and verbal communication skills. " d3 k" c$ @7 K$ `. J
•        The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in a Human Resources Generalist position, as well as post-secondary education specializing in Human Resources. 7 G9 @4 W- V- [/ u
•        Strong Union Relations experience required.
: {+ y! Y3 E& X, L- F) U$ T•        Proficiency in MS Office is required and SAP experience is considered an asset.
( ~/ P5 V- ~4 {# V% J3 v•        CHRP Designation is an asset.) S5 T  e7 X! y6 a0 \+ j, q, R
