Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
) @6 j, K9 X1 QMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
9 Z. B/ J' l' ~0 M$ c+ B+ Q0 {•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
" k" P+ z8 a$ Z% [7 k. G/ @o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
4 w, e7 ]/ f& o  p7 N, V•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
+ Z$ J) p. B) k) `1 k) lo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
7 K  W& z/ ]4 i- C% v•        Track and report all warranty failures
/ ]. U6 w7 \% [  w, so        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
' [  t5 p) h) ?2 A  u1 h•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
$ S9 r' _' E, m8 O1 do        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
6 z, \' q. ^/ i+ Qo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
* |+ N# {% r4 m& K) d•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
% e1 {. V3 Q7 b! x# c. A+ x! Io        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
& ]0 D$ W+ c3 k: u- y4 }•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
7 A9 y6 Q3 I) A* c' E( j/ O! n•        Proficient in software use and writing.
: e7 ^3 w8 Z; l•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
: K" l& W8 [% b$ P! c9 Y, Z- k" i% n•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
