Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker+ u2 h, x1 K j8 p3 Q+ [

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 2 X) I W$ a7 }6 [$ [/ G3 Y5 m
/ _5 @1 N5 B% m: ~Key Responsibilities:
* D( _) `6 T+ C# h• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
0 A& t$ L- p j• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
% j5 z9 `' R1 c4 G6 m• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
/ Z7 C) s( C) h" Y4 V3 V8 n• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter. S6 Q4 {- \5 t( t4 v9 v
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
8 F/ }# Z3 t' O% m7 r4 Q• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents) _* e0 k- J1 e! u% `% k' m
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

6 h- c3 U) O: O/ X• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events7 I8 g7 r, T6 C! a
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean4 S9 k+ @4 V7 V5 D/ Z- }
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters( t$ t0 _: ~8 t' n5 {2 k6 o8 o
• Maintain front counter service files. {( Y/ K2 O6 @ z; j
• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
! E5 @2 f7 x/ y: k* G• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset2 Z s5 j+ k. ]$ ]# Q# p5 }
• Good English writing and oral communication skills& z2 m3 X% \9 H! r$ b
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients" K. U1 \) R. y& ^6 f. Q
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
