nine years and our mission is to equip youth to engage and inspire others to

The YOUCAN VERTO Project is a Government of Canada and Government of Albertafunded
1 q7 b u& ~+ e/ Z! O* x1 U$ r. g0 F; t8 ^% S
project that will bring at-risk youth together into a unique 15 -week groupbased0 f7 L9 x8 @0 m3 q' @/ o. U7 M
employability skills program entitled “The VERTO Project”.3 q* j0 X6 E# }% c9 D. o! R/ z
The goal of the VERTO Program is to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining) R5 R" K" I! r, \5 Q
the skills necessary to bring success into their lives. Verto program will expose
0 G+ s/ ?6 ^2 f/ l, `9 x5 Jparticipants to a wide range of components focusing on: employment development,( b7 ~. y5 X: i8 a% e! h* {
personal wellness, technology learning, conflict resolution, and exposure courses.: l# Y9 _5 A- g: V/ U2 \
Additionally, we will incorporate topics around health and wellness, volunteerism,- }; I# S+ p, ?8 U9 F& F
and leadership courses. Verto youth will be provided with a six-month employment$ I/ a! G, s' l% f7 a
follow-up once the program is completed.

8 G& d" R) F) C' ^1 nVerto project will run from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the
# g) M" ~- j; Y* E# }YOUCAN office, located at 11124-130 St. (Westmount Jr. High School) in Edmonton, Alberta.
