T.A.N.G. Youth Program is an educational and activity-based program aiming to equip

opportunities, leadership training, as well as educational sessions on / p# D+ W6 s. i- O( R: J- X. {. S5 \
interpersonal skills, anger management, personal development,

Program Schedule:
; y' |4 `+ a7 {# J. XRegular Spring and Fall Group Sessions: runs on alternate Saturday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m.. \4 j. d$ i2 u% e& B6 D1 c! Q
Summer Group Sessions: 2 consecutive weeks in July from 9 to 5 p.m. daily, L' ^6 ]+ d4 M- i- Y: o7 z0 F& a2 g
2 consecutive weeks in August from 9 to 5 p.m. daily4 L! Y) n7 s, I4 ?1 h# s

Asian youth aged 11 to 15, who are new immigrants or locally born Asian living in Edmonton or surrounding area.

What is the cost of joining the T.A.N.G. program?0 X2 P2 Y4 a2 G' H
It is FREE and space is limited to 15 to 20 participants per group.

) Y8 i( y% }2 @$ F8 z G8 lVolunteer’s Duties:

 Distribute promotional flyers to schools, churches, communities and social services agencies
& I, a9 n8 i+ @( j' A' v, s Facilitate and/or coordinate activity-based function such as to host a gym day or sport tournaments or workshop on personal growth development
9 ?8 a# t: F8 b3 |) y5 D! C: S) D Facilitate or assist in ice-breakers and/or other activities7 i% k2 Y M3 b5 ?1 C- f: ?
 Facilitate or assist in small group discussions

% l* I- y# u( h, l Enforce safety rules during program sessions and fieldtrips

Volunteer Commitment:

+ {) y" E( E- R8 O8 } On-going volunteers (we have volunteers dedicated themselves to the program for almost 4 years)- k- Y8 A# j" r7 {
 One time volunteers: minimum commitment is one seasonal session, i.e. 8 – 10 sessions in Spring, Fall or Summer+ q* v/ D6 m, V3 o9 `+ p+ u

 Able to work independently with minimum supervision
