Duration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
Camp 1 – July 04 – July 14
Camp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
Time:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)
*might work in other time in some specific days
Place: ASSIST Community Services Centre

Duties:
  E- V( N; m; O0 G5 h. YTo assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:

 Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
! y+ \+ A$ |5 k7 M, o$ Q Take attendance if available
) i% }/ }) W3 i$ i& i Provide positive modelling to youth
# t* m4 o1 h+ d" ~: x4 O Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
5 X0 r( ~- |- | Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
 Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
 Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
 Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
" O# L6 q' |- R; m Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
 Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
 Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
: h( e! y( b$ ?/ K1 b( J: I7 { Assist in program planning/design
 Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

Attitude/Skills Requirements

 Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
 Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
; E- K4 @3 D1 c. ? A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
4 M6 }0 b/ z& i7 A' [4 b Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
 Able to work independently with minimum supervision
 Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
9 X& L! M) x5 A, v Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
 Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
