Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:& Y# |! p5 l7 e5 a' ~% |
- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;
$ k: _1 G4 J; E+ n- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.
* |1 r5 q u( l) C7 C) P4 w- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff.
