Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:! r; E: q- o9 L! S* Q
- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;; C6 ]) t! A( G1 b& o
- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.9 z( L. P" ~6 f3 V5 s+ B: _. t4 p( O
- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff.8 u% t4 P% ]( J- `0 e& j1 H. C
