SEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada.

8 q9 W$ ]7 T4 U- P• conduct socio-economic market and policy research
9 {4 o K2 ~( t$ F, p2 |• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners l8 ?9 s' Y0 Z0 p
• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation
0 y- B6 k; G" V• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs
' c$ ~; u, K1 Y2 h$ @* x( w• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits

Primary Responsibilities and Activities:
) ]' _# m. v( j3 O: Y• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada 5 U6 N0 ]5 y8 y- A/ B8 S4 l s
• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc) 2 W7 S$ \/ Q5 L8 ]! H
• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required " t1 T% W1 @4 ^- Q7 J
• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities ' d. N; Y# ~! d2 h
• Working with evaluation and management information systems team
; j+ L v0 k% m/ Y, z+ i0 z1 }• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required ; l. b5 k+ M. p9 e0 J1 J# E' @: Q
Other Activities:
# `+ a; R- t$ ~% K7 ]• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies * ^# g. l$ h8 _0 m
• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners / H7 e* U- `/ J
• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting 8 ]8 e) W: T# s1 p
• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports
9 a# X; E' E: ^) ?• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning 7 ?; K9 F4 q3 d
Primary Qualifications: - ^6 T; x' O4 h+ N
• Demonstrated group facilitation experience 4 X( b. ?" }( E* p
• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media
. i2 s0 w+ q! h" t1 T- `4 ?• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training
+ T o. c0 t4 I) w% o% T" g: ]" p• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities

• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts
1 ? U4 N+ I7 U; L& \/ M• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them
* W G+ ]( S7 \• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc
9 K& ?0 n b. j/ O& P( A• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education
! ?0 b0 v; p0 r) n5 y• Content / curriculum development experience ( x6 }2 z0 a( i) |4 Y
• Team player, able to deal effectively with multi-sectoral partners 2 c; B& F$ Z- J
• Excellent organizational skills
! T* z% v$ ]$ z• Computer skills: Word, ACCESS, Power Point etc.
