Job Description
4 k+ P/ i7 K, V' \ h0 T V- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information0 M$ t4 e8 [, |" |5 u
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.3 ~# h5 h$ }6 n9 S/ c! |0 c# ? G& w6 j
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
7 t4 k2 E( e1 m3 `9 c, W. K- provide support to ISP staff
9 T9 p( L2 k# V- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members: @% w. M6 x+ ?! |! W
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities) I, Y, C. v+ I) Z5 ~
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
$ c, e0 E, ]+ h4 e. g$ i; c4 ~- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
8 n7 q# P1 r* N5 s- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
# p c, n* R( \1 R- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
; S# l- ~$ n, a8 f7 h- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc. J1 p7 A. @9 y$ v) `: S
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities$ F- \+ ?; a. Q" u7 A( U2 ]) f
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

Qualifications
: {2 ?: P9 y& e* ]7 A, V3 J' v$ L+ K- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered, _! z& ]3 B* f) N2 ~+ V2 c
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available& z& c! t# {, I: K" R# K9 K
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
( r7 g5 M+ F2 Y- B- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software- g. N! b5 L$ i8 d7 U; i( M
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)* v) o8 p p) j8 l3 B4 ` M3 f( M ^
- good interpersonal and people skills* a0 W8 `4 ^* E8 R* A( |, y8 v& x
- good organizational and coordination skills
