Job Description
- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
) u/ `7 u8 k9 N: ^) x) Y' p6 N- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
8 `4 V, ^- u. d, M-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
- provide support to ISP staff
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
4 Q, Y9 B' K* k5 l7 d- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
1 H/ i  r* i6 m" j1 `3 Z# B- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
% c$ B, D! i  Y! y- ?: g: M- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
$ g: k% \# `) p3 k  ?- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
- other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
% c$ G# U& q; r6 r- Z. [- h- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
- good interpersonal and people skills
- good organizational and coordination skills
- valid driver’s license

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary
- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
