Job Description
& H7 U8 j( ~2 D3 u5 c* b0 a- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information+ Q: x( I- a+ g ]: e b
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.3 _0 }/ n9 J2 s3 `" j
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP, f& u- P8 D# B, F3 h/ o* X G
- provide support to ISP staff) E1 K* X+ e; L5 F1 a8 H9 T. r3 [
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members' j& S* s0 }/ y
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
( O) {' Q1 ^! N+ X9 C- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated, y% u( G1 P" a: Y" F. B
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
% F7 z' Q" b2 {- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
( r n. n4 ~, ]5 m5 s' N- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder$ b5 _) l9 k, l" f( S5 r% k
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.$ p" B0 z1 b' F9 Y3 }
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities5 ~, j3 [" V" X* b3 `" I
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned. |5 P& X2 k5 K8 ]' v
- other duties as assigned

Qualifications
& q0 D0 a O$ X/ \# K3 |2 x9 l- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered6 k4 j3 |1 _8 O% i. ]( i F
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available6 T4 n3 S1 L: n9 t- |
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers$ `* Z% M' m, Y4 D: f6 l8 W- F0 }
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
' X) m& i t; ]! E5 }+ D w. |- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
- |2 S* {" \; w" ?/ E- t- good interpersonal and people skills8 Z/ u. {# L* L+ K E, Q. S& b7 U. a
- good organizational and coordination skills
