Resource Room Advisor/Resume Writer

 Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.

 Encourage independence and self determination in newcomers

2 p% L) g# ?6 L: l Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.

 Responsible for intake, orientation and completion of workability assessments.

 Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.: P3 }3 ]# x; {, n( y& D
 Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.9 y" ~* S- a& P5 [/ Q
 Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.

 Ensure participants’ progress is tracked and recorded

 Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment

 Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion
