Earth Hour is a global lights-out phenomenon led by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to show support for action on climate change.4 ^) ?' U1 ^% Y2 x' N5 z- w& C
2 \4 f' E0 j7 P( T; {4 i4 ^$ n, FJoin us at City Hall Plaza (1 Sir Winston Churchill Square) for Earth Hour 2011, happening March 26! Festivities start at 7:15 pm, and include:

Join us for this global movement, but in the meantime continue to shut off all non-essential lights:

•Turn off your computer and lights before you leave work.

•Unplug any unused electrical appliances.

Earth Hour began in 2007 in Sydney, Australia. More than 2.2 million people across the world turned off their lights.( \3 l2 ^; Q* }) X7 M7 l: w
5 a3 x/ a' x3 n; U2 Z& ?2011 will be the fourth year that Edmonton participates in Earth Hour. Earth Hour gives us all a chance to reflect on our energy consumption. It is important to continue to make changes to your everyday lifestyle and show you care about the planet. }1 O2 Z6 ?* }" G8 O0 r
