We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

" r! g6 a& `5 l" ?Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

- Gathering and documenting requirements;

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

; V8 p$ @1 w2 s- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;
; `3 b) R  S: Y" H; W" m
  ~5 T; \) i- J, g- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;
! R# a& [1 j3 a0 K% f7 C) e. j
+ M! Q) w# V8 O; C) \4 U- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

; e" s% E  m( h! G; |- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

6 m  Z& u# b0 E- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

$ E  i3 b7 i  r1 z' r% m- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;
