We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

9 J( @+ j5 @' I9 ^& K, l6 q& |Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

/ ~- X0 A* M# }2 ?1 v! o- Gathering and documenting requirements;

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

( p" X- f$ K7 V( I4 A* C- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;
% H# F2 M# }- b5 v3 T" _8 [
8 t0 W) }- V) G8 X' k- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

$ s- y6 _* r6 i8 i- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

! I( @/ C/ o3 Z. }( K2 |2 C- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

$ f1 [4 ~  U8 U1 R2 x6 t+ ~- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;
