Duties
7 W: d' q/ C( G! N0 Z! N# CDevelops and updates the graphic user interface including program interface (menus, dialogue boxes, file editing, etc.) using C++ or Java or other languages to allow users to compose run scripts and edit input files for a FORTRAN model
( w9 w/ m* X4 D6 v; N- KGenerates dynamic visualization of numerical output from the model using VTK or other visualization tools, linked to explanatory documents
4 o5 F7 E7 x8 ?/ L( [9 tWorks with staff in the MACI to determine ways to deal with the data and find innovative approaches of presenting results
' R: _- y0 g# Q5 ]1 V8 f; ^Implements interface and visualization on portable media (CD and website) for use in research and teaching; implements the mathematical model "ecosy" in parallel mode on computing facilities available( V6 L- i3 x* V2 N) K% Y/ i1 w
Provides technical support to teaching initiatives at undergraduate and postgraduate levels using the mathematical model with the graphic user interface2 E+ i" B* f5 m
Installs software and provides user support; liaises with users to enable their productive use of the software

B.Sc. in Computing Science with specialization in interface development
