死和干细胞研究而深受广大右翼保守派基督徒和穆斯林选民青睐的美国共和党高层人物
中发生了多起同性恋丑闻，这些人都有一些共同的特点：共和党，基督徒，在多项社会
议题上持右翼保守立场，自身同性恋但是伪装成异性恋和异性结婚，为了政治目的公开
反对同性恋平等权益，自身却忍受不了喜欢同性恋的天性偷偷找同性解渴，许多人甚至
在丑闻暴露后仍然百般抵赖，最终身败名裂。

under the age of 18 (the bill failed). He would later admit that he
regretted voting for those measures.[1] In 1995, when West was a state
senator, he advocated the impeachment of then-Gov. Mike Lowry for alleged
' p# ]* t1 k5 v0 f  Isexual harassment.

West was involved in a sex scandal in 2005. He was accused of sexually
: k, r* e7 l9 s4 F$ i2 n1 _abusing two young boys in the 1970s and 1980s when he was a sheriff's deputy
* ~# Z% g5 S/ Sand Boy Scout leader. He was also accused of misusing his office as mayor
to lure teenage boys for sexual relationships. West called the molestation
allegations "flat lies". However he admitted to having private online
relationships in the past year through the Gay.com website (see ([3]).

West confirmed the accusations of meeting men over the Internet but denied
the charges that he had sought out minors (see[4]). Using the name "Right-
BiGuy" he allegedly offered internships to young gay men (some of whom were

! B( O, E5 I* ^) c( R18.

In November 2006, he resigned or was removed from all of his leadership

, such as his purchase of methamphetamine, were true. He later added "sexual
immorality" to his list of confessions.[2]

After the scandal was publicized, Haggard entered three weeks of intensive
3 S% Z  d, C0 q0 |' d  u% mcounseling, overseen by four ministers. In February 2007, one of those
7 K- T+ m9 d3 A7 b( i9 c  }ministers, Tim Ralph, said that Haggard "is completely heterosexual."[3]
Ralph later said he meant that therapy "gave Ted the tools to help to
embrace his heterosexual side."[4] As of early 2009, Haggard continues to

relationship [that] went on for a long period of time [with Haggard] ... it
wasn't a one-time act."[76] Haggard's successor, Brady Boyd, said the church
reached a six figure settlement with the man, who was in his early 20s at
; X" W1 _% n4 g' x6 S; Ithe time.[78] According to the man, he said the contact was "not consensual"
