4 E1 w" J; g( R: ]% D( g Proactively and independently develop initiatives in ethno-cultural communities that
( _" B4 g' b: @) }increase their capacity to participate fully in the community
1 h/ N8 x# C. P/ V) {, ^; {8 h Develop initiatives that convene stakeholders, community organizations, government agencies and foster collaborations between immigrant and main-stream stakeholders. # _0 u6 S' P ~; U+ n! H% H3 u& d( ]
 Proactively assist immigrant communities with: identifying needs, training, strategic planning, board development, project development, community economic development, funding proposal writing, program planning and implementation
; z8 t0 k2 _% g+ Z Develop Community Economic Development initiatives and provide small business coaching to groups and individuals
! v% E& w Z, u9 @* J# ` Facilitate group processes and workshops , H0 q7 C \. K, l! _+ X! F
 Advocate for systemic changes that foster full participation of newcomers in the community9 C6 c" p9 P( t2 M, W; L' v
; q' @: M; `6 R8 M' c/ F) DBackground & Qualifications: 5 \1 C; s% n+ D+ d, g/ F
' }; f% w8 K7 L/ A Demonstrated ability to independently develop community initiatives 4 s7 B! `+ g: m o! N* y
 Community development and CED background and experience
7 u- c% g' ]! o8 V Strong group facilitation skills ; l' F" P& B! I2 _! \
 Experience supervising staff
+ x& Z5 }3 @7 T+ H! B& F3 r- [3 S Understanding of cross-cultural issues
$ s4 a+ F' d# n Excellent written and oral communication skills, including proposal writing skills 5 o! }$ J0 f# p2 ~- b- `
 Strong organizational and Program delivery skills/ f/ J9 I" J3 r

Education/technical skills 7 |5 F( y0 H- d2 ^$ u8 ?( E
