Duties! u1 E J7 _' l# ?1 B7 A
Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
[8 \; o" s! r4 x3 `0 h, [2 Q7 hObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments5 ~8 |# C' S& k/ y
Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound% U3 X: O% x, K k6 Q
Prioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead2 l1 g- W7 \- ^' K& v9 M* H! }
Operates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions5 r* e/ C$ Q0 B% J/ [$ m8 i) h
Performs related duties as required

Valid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.& t: T5 \: P" H

Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification7 g: \) \0 q8 u
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials; Q% A F* N& O! f! _0 G7 o
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar7 F X( N2 S# ?; c* c' h
