Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
# V7 y8 K) F+ \7 R+ p! P( ^- vObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
( ]0 C% {  j! l( rEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
. E4 }* \+ e% J9 n5 a3 z0 ^Prioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
. R( l3 Y' J- ~) @- Q) v* e# x8 ZOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions

6 h% u9 R0 w* A  D" OValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.
2 D* Z+ o" x8 K6 R" vHigh School diploma; previous driving experience required
Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
