Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)6 d& q* l) @ h4 f/ R9 U
Provides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required4 n9 v4 B( W% j9 g
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed( F9 k5 M. }: \: o

Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
# t4 X* o* S' @: s+ r! ~5 fDemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
/ U: C& m0 }$ q. \ u; _* T7 FSolid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset, {4 u0 t! `1 l, V, W
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
* A/ K+ ^/ k- @ l& pFamiliarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
