 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.2 o- O5 s% l; l. ]; z, X/ d p# N+ J
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
# U* t5 z/ S& k$ d4 Y Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.) s7 f+ f, S. @/ d* a( z8 ]8 t
 Completing required paperwork.1 }0 Y. ^* Q. K8 f8 P% H
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
# Y" y5 Y* b# l4 E/ z5 p; H Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.& O0 M2 y2 k% [' S
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.( Q! u# p, _9 X' E6 S- ]8 o2 [
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

# c4 [. L8 e" n$ S Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
* E3 d" M3 L/ K+ u Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.; G0 ?* b) ]$ {0 ~/ X: z
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth./ S' d8 g8 X6 m; S
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.0 H1 u; `* d$ {3 f
 Knowledge of community resources.8 R/ n$ g: u0 g9 A
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.$ @7 J+ o% D0 w; C
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
