) _2 |( ^4 p: m2 G t+ F Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.; \+ H0 B, }8 u) K K4 l6 G
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.6 P& y2 ^+ G5 ^: n% C
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

D8 q: W1 F! b! F i# \8 C& ? Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.3 R4 ^" h: b* p# i* `; @
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures., Q/ S( W0 M( i" _: v% B' }
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. , i0 @) i; O ?3 o$ a
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.! g; K7 ]' |" C! G5 U5 p. ?
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
" Q& } \! `6 T7 a Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth. P0 c& ]7 F% n* Q9 D5 @5 A7 P
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
; P7 O) N7 F( `3 |9 l- V+ ^; W2 B Knowledge of community resources.
0 e0 S. f0 ]! A6 Z$ d Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
& j& |( {; @# @3 ^ Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 5 P& B6 \& @1 o

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. ( g% s" H: G U3 z2 X
