 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
+ c9 a4 H; m, W* D0 Q4 t Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
  M0 f+ B' K" W3 V6 B5 _4 ? Completing required paperwork.
0 o4 f- O* n" U( [8 Y+ t Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
& u- |" J3 `9 T) B& c Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

3 r$ Q1 @, _+ YQualifications:

: x0 t7 Z5 T+ O2 _ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
' X1 \4 K+ y) p5 ], _+ _2 l9 g Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
3 P/ V8 L, V& O$ a+ w Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
2 w# }1 S! u4 j! ~$ s% B" [, O Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
  v  ]' o5 v& B# I! ?3 T8 F) ?This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
