Key Responsibilities & Duties:( p/ z5 u5 f) s: g# F2 P
7 C; j5 l; |( H+ O Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth. T. Q8 W/ M) [9 `' H8 a! C
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
1 o% g( ^, Q, T* b8 s/ v4 Q Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.5 [ W2 f+ d/ Q2 G. @6 z
 Completing required paperwork.
; l; ^2 K1 U4 R7 f! ? Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
9 s$ u8 G, d, c& P2 l' s Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
4 F2 f$ _. R6 I t Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
; K6 ?$ q5 B2 F, `; y Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.% f4 e' t: P5 \, B* v, l3 I' [
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
1 ^ a' }& `& u I, O# O" F Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.6 M P7 h# J2 q2 Q1 v
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
. h' r" o- L; j1 I& z O Knowledge of community resources.
0 I, P' a: s' _/ m9 i Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
7 j+ B6 Q5 J. w, z1 T7 p Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
2 R! [( a- C( D6 K( BThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
