Key Responsibilities & Duties:

) _2 |( ^4 p: m2 G  t+ F Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
0 t0 F+ v& h& ~) S Completing required paperwork.
  D8 q: W1 F! b! F  i# \8 C& ? Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
9 d  D5 ]$ F2 Q+ ^; j Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
# i" E9 ]9 i4 F% q4 V6 m' |. N Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
( A, {! v4 X9 I0 ^$ F) I# @ Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


+ \; k0 T3 y  H: ?Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
" Q& }  \! `6 T7 a Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
; P7 O) N7 F( `3 |9 l- V+ ^; W2 B Knowledge of community resources.
0 e0 S. f0 ]! A6 Z$ d Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
& j& |( {; @# @3 ^ Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
