, ]. Z+ N) ^9 m. n% n* U
+ Z6 F* S+ U- N& Z- P6 G Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
. i  q! S& h) U5 y/ X Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
8 R  \& {" h0 j, C+ @" o+ F Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
$ e+ p# p" ]% D  a Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
: y1 ]- v1 _+ k Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
& M. c0 I6 T9 Z% f- \ Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


* u* Q' A7 n8 WQualifications:

9 v6 @2 `2 F- o5 O3 C' q Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
  A5 H; U0 e1 w) q1 { Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
4 A* K; Z  Z1 E( T( m, K. r& _( B Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
$ \2 `; c% l. X* O" ], _7 I' d& A Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

4 F# V2 i& V) g2 ]  DPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
