  v# K2 g0 t. i: `& j% B4 A Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
7 P- b1 w& R* y* A: r- r Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
! V6 j& ]( q" S) E2 _9 j5 I Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
  X! S, d5 a4 A Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

; {* ^; D  y( S; F. H% S( VQualifications:

+ P& H) A  e; w Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
; x+ a: {& k  w, S0 B. X7 J Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
) t6 w; Z5 M+ @( P Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
' O, _# G6 I& {% A7 A Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
$ S+ q) V* Q' o( z1 B9 D Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
1 v3 d* ?& ~) g; t& ]* U0 N5 z4 Q Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
' s; H2 f1 Q5 q8 p2 a# {6 ^This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
