; \9 K4 T8 l! t; b+ a/ v0 J3 n  d Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
7 A6 Y& S9 m6 a  h$ G. D* Y1 p Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
, r. _$ m& p4 \1 a& b Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
, r2 L9 Z3 ^9 s* f: h- [ Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
  ]/ T; {: N& j' ]9 K# x" e) G Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
8 q$ f1 r* x- L) M, Q Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

) H9 s* Z: U; G# v" d8 ~
' P) \2 H8 V* ?# f Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
9 ^9 V1 V3 E1 x( i, [' u: n Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
$ y1 [+ E2 y1 @ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
4 M% k3 N2 O# T# Y Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

. d% t4 N( s8 V* BThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
