 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
5 |6 r7 z) R8 j- a' E! }, ^ Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.8 ?5 v: o, v* `5 ~2 J g
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.) \' }6 K- `1 E5 B( N. R
 Completing required paperwork.

: Z9 Q) T& d% q- U8 {0 o Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
% b f6 _! U7 B% \: O! O; W2 ~- D1 S7 w# ~, V% P
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.( o! i, z9 a! a! I3 V0 r9 P/ o2 B
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.* T4 P0 Z/ O! h% H5 P
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.* A. a9 x1 }! O$ w8 O; `
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.8 z6 [6 c4 \. z+ W) ?4 k
 Knowledge of community resources.
/ B Z& @. Y: C, A1 _ Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.+ R, V% W# @! c" p
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

7 N) y. l9 X" N' K1 DThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; * w- d7 o/ U. b% t3 {
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
