 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
9 i  T2 l" v$ m1 s$ x Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
4 d8 z2 z8 ]" m( e& a Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
/ n) O9 R, w8 e1 b) e1 c Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
' }/ {/ |% ]( h5 O, G9 M9 i Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
! t/ E8 ]: J. |  T) l Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
' j3 d2 D( z, e& ~6 j6 b3 X3 r+ d& H Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
" i% Y( G( B2 ` Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

; L$ |  j4 W$ u( h6 [ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
2 n9 G6 B: F2 g% H# d Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
: Z- b/ x: N. v' R+ m* @$ u7 c Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

8 I; C( F& f6 i+ s  N: ^! s2 K( vPosition:
7 J7 X8 o0 F% e; p; a5 nThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
+ `/ y3 I4 G3 H4 p% n, dstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
