 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
, t% Z* V1 x4 E6 p) { Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
: T5 h; n& G( D Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
" [! q6 O1 g& T6 @* e8 V" T Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
3 |6 R0 q# |# I Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
$ B$ l% o. C6 D1 G Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
$ V8 s9 d0 y9 r  X) K# [
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
5 b7 l* I; T( M Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.

- W; ?  O4 _' f- Q% U' ] Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
) q  ^/ g) ^* f- i: z  zThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
