Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

3 u' h2 M. i' g& Y2 z( n# }Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
6 W4 M. a+ z6 o& IResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

2 w6 J: B6 T" C2 W/ `Qualifications
) U: b8 w! g9 `7 V. A/ g0 R
Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
' F  X- Z2 d5 S( V) a4 A7 l  }Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
2 y' B% P3 m: \8 a! o: V3 s3 mMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
- N4 U3 G" q, U$ H! FUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- D6 F8 o1 ]6 o# w6 vAbility to communicate with all levels of management
% y/ {; Y* u) N# V/ w5 R9 nAbility to work independently as well as in a team
