Mechanical Engineer/Specialist –Research Equipment Design

Major Responsibilities:
5 ~" u+ U4 s1 u2 F• Process research equipment design;
, u! B( ^% q* w• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;+ ]5 B+ x) t$ [+ e) O2 ~ r r4 U
• Equipment fabrication guidance;! |- f* N$ w; o) D1 p' Z* V2 K
• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
; m" o8 i Q7 v. t/ L4 f' z7 c& s• Others.6 q+ Q9 ]7 b+ C; ~, p/ R
0 r/ ^5 G3 X" L z! ]" xQualifications:1 C& p/ S& @4 f0 \' u
• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
3 Y" \7 z7 C2 I. U! g• Equipment design experience is required;
" I6 \# m) K& B• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;0 g0 v" J- y1 d
• Familiar with CAD software;
4 Q3 Y# m+ n& i3 F, Q. d; V$ G4 P• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;- ^) @ e: D6 J( s1 D
• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

4 t7 F0 ]& X; d- b$ cSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term. # y5 Q# T0 C8 [% D8 F: `
