Major Responsibilities:& U4 ]9 O+ @5 W' {2 q
• Process research equipment design;
* v7 s# ]% t- F9 v• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;% E; z3 `+ i1 m/ L% |
• Equipment fabrication guidance;
1 B' L# B# n1 _2 E v/ h8 Y• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;% @/ l6 T! d, T' y

• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
- c0 s' D- Y& P! I5 x• Equipment design experience is required;% c, i* [# P' A* @9 Y% t
• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
1 r, s d \' P• Familiar with CAD software;
# @0 ?4 t( S0 W1 W) @& W• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;1 Q" f+ Z7 q" o+ B& _" Y) G+ {# C
• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.3 O! a- F+ O2 E% A+ A0 {

) A( Q) p" s6 _) G* v2 [0 YSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term. , i# ] h8 D# S) y. O3 H
