 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
6 P: S) _9 P/ q: w1 N- p! ^  L: z" ` Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
2 G8 y' |, G1 W# E Completing required paperwork.
$ K8 z% B7 M* t+ P( V Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
7 S9 ~# s9 O0 l6 U$ \* D Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
% W8 q* z4 w+ r0 z, k$ M Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
! L* e7 ^" ?% K1 z% D Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
: s: ~# q6 i/ C* B8 J9 n7 g( u% {% E Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
: B/ P$ T- y( P# U+ M5 ?2 d8 u Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

5 S# H- Q4 I3 ^: ]" c1 e8 K Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
" u) X! _/ R3 A8 `& c5 G5 _0 f! T+ N7 _+ S Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
$ ~/ ^5 X' j  I) \' k Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
! |5 F6 o& X1 X+ d, U Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
