 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.0 P+ o+ v& p( C7 f5 m1 M2 e
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
; W+ ?: w; O# I) f6 M6 ]6 H( Y, g Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.% `, ]; |' T5 e8 M1 f1 n0 z1 S8 Y
 Completing required paperwork.
! N; }! K& ?0 {6 e6 n" a$ D Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.: Z8 L/ R, V0 e. ~
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.- l8 {7 d! {0 n9 d6 i
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
$ q6 W, M3 U/ x y" [! {7 K7 m) w Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.- U6 y6 c& x' Z0 p
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
& @ U# \2 C. T. ] Y! j* \ Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.* @+ y U) @) c
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
- d- e- k4 s. v& H- N! y$ m Knowledge of community resources.) ?* m# {$ T4 V" Z! ]3 O# w8 m
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.

Position:
5 h7 P9 S: |/ W. I" C) M# N1 AThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; + r- U5 I7 y, F5 [
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. 8 I/ J8 l$ O" C' m
