; w: E( n% ~0 _$ ]: L Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
+ g* V9 G/ s& ~ Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
+ E* ~/ \2 @7 Z7 s) H& u Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
% B1 \7 C0 s8 b) |. f Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
7 f' b1 q! ?6 Z6 C Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
$ [, W+ F/ D: H Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
. w% V# [# F- J6 ^2 c& _! z Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
6 i. @, D( K# c Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
' J% N3 m- \6 H Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
. U" i% s: a. ~, ~0 @# n3 x. @ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
7 h) e' n4 s3 h Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
0 _8 l, R0 @/ U7 u. E" x Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

) I3 m8 S+ [" B2 k3 `% CPosition:
% h6 r$ o' S0 ], P( d, V, `This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
' y$ l: w8 C% C- R( E- M. B8 R/ Q' ?starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
