 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.1 K( N3 p4 g! Z& r2 n' z5 V
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.1 N, Q6 R' ]* `. }
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

! c6 K! F( G$ @; P Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.5 Z% @4 l" n) n0 h% b2 z
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.) a% w4 Y& ?* _
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. 0 R" Q5 ^( K1 S8 t. E. O
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
0 B$ U) m: e6 ~$ z( k0 j2 k Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

0 E& p0 E' w& f( E | Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
! F* [5 `. n5 r' q Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
~5 C V* O! O Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
: m2 t: `' o% G7 G% V Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.& O9 z% I$ M9 `/ T& L! l: t: Y
 Knowledge of community resources.3 i& \/ x9 t: Z- g7 s( q; a
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
R, I% j6 A( b: ]( X8 h Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 6 c/ i# {* b( }( f3 z& [! w1 i/ S

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 9 l! L- [6 I5 K
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
